We want to acknowledge that the Lhaq'temish (Lummi) Nation and the Nuxwsa'7aq (Nooksack) tribes are located in the heart of Whatcom County where Liberation Youth Yoga was conceived. We recognize that the Coast Salish peoples have lived and nurtures these lands since time immemorial and that we are here because of the sacrifice forced upon them. We honor and appreciate their legacy, lives, descendants, and culture.
Liberation’s Mission
To teach kids how to move and breathe through stress, so they can learn to be calm on the inside when it’s chaotic on the outside.
With so much friction going on, I think one common, universal goal is creating peace on Earth and according to Gandhi, "If we are to teach real peace in this world...we shall have to begin with the children." So, let’s begin.
