General•Busting Loose from the Money Game - Phase 1 vs. Phase 2
-
I'd like to discuss the difference between Phase 1 and Phase 2, as explained in Robert Scheinfeld's books:
Busting Loose from the Money Game & Busting Loose from the Business Game (for more information, check out http://www.robertscheinfeld.com/resources.html)
Here are the rules:
1) Write a belief, attitude, thought, idea or action that falls under phase 1.
2) What would that correspond to in phase 2?
I'll start things off:
Phase 1: I need to do this...
Phase 2: I want to do this...
Phase 1: I'm a workaholic
Phase 2: I fully enjoy work AND play
Phase 1: Chasing after the rabbit
Phase 2: Creating a situation where the rabbit comes to me
Phase 1: Fighting with reality
Phase 2: Accepting reality and then improving on it for fun

The Busting Loose from the Business Game book just went on sale at Amazon.com. I put it in my cart yesterday, and then I was notified that the price dropped from $14 to $4.87!
If you're thinking about getting it, I would say now is the time:

Thanks for the recommendation. Just purchased a copy for myself. :-)

Awesome, Rob. I plan on talking about it at tomorrow night's meeting...see you there.
-
I'm really enjoying the Busting Loose material and the "Process" that Robert Scheinfeld lays out in it...it's a really powerful tool for dealing with uncomfortable emotions
-
Oh, and now it's down to $4.51...I'm not sure why it keeps getting cheaper, but I'd definitely recommend it to anyone

I deal with uncomfortable emotions by refusing to let them make me uncomfortable. I am on an accelerated "accept your shadow" program. Aaron offers an "accept your shadow" program for only three EASY payments of $19.95. I want to experience the full range of emotions. Experience is experience, good or bad.
As the Goo Goo Dolls so famously said. "Yeah you bleed just to know your alive"
= ) -

interesting...is that an actual program, or is it just about refusing to let things make you uncomfortable?

What is the definition of an actual program? Something you systematically do to achieve a certain result right? Therefore the answer to your question is in the question itself.

ok...I was just wondering if there was any more to it, or if that summed it up...

sorry i was just being dramatic in the way i responded. yeah that sums it up. Basically i don't believe people need a program for anything and I think people should shy away from adapting themselves to other peoples systems. I think they should take the information and see it for the what it is as it applies to them.
That was the danger of the bible. The taking of it word for word. We shouldn't do that with any book, meme, or ideology.
I am saying this in general, not directed specifically at you. -
-
I agree in theory, that we shouldn't blindly follow systems strictly for the sake of following them...but when I find something I like, I'll follow it as long as I see results...but I most enjoy making systems or "games" for myself
-
I agree with you Chris... research and study everything that interests you, but always follow your own truth...
-
Yes, that's what I was getting at too
-
I've definitely fallen into the take things literally track and usually its because we get some emotional charge out of the experience.
Howdy, Stranger!
