Two insights
I believe that when I pick up a book, look at the clouds, overhear a conversation or encounter any other form of input, that I was meant to hear it and learn something from it. Unfortunately I am off the the dentist so this will be a rather short post. I just wanted to share these two short Shel Silverstein poems that I encountered today.
THE LAND OF HAPPY
Have you been to The Land of Happy,
Where everyone’s happy all day,
Where they joke and they sing
Of the happiest things,
And everything’s jolly and gay?
There’s no one unhappy in Happy,
There’s laughter and smiles galore.
I have been to The Land of Happy —–
What a bore!
JUST ME, JUST ME
Sweet Marie, she loves just me
(She also loves Maurice McGhee).
No she don’t, she loves just me
(She also loves Louise Dupree).
No she don’t, she just loves me
(She also loves the willow tree).
No she don’t she just loves me!
(Poor, poor fool, why can’t you see
She can love others and still love thee.)
