Dear Goddess, Our Customer Service team  is at it again. After all, we have nothing to lose. Well, maybe we could lose our self importance. Or we could lose all sense of modesty. We laugh so hard that we certainly have lost all sense of seriousness.

And what have we gained? When people laugh with complete abandon, they become absolutely beautiful. I noticed this today. We were all laughing so hard that all of us became completely ego-less. Laughter brings out the best in everyone. Laughter brings out the child in us. In fact laughter brings out our inner child.

So today we began another season of slapstick comedy to honor our staff at the Women and Babies Hospital. It's never too late to begin again. Now our reputations precede us.

There is no where to hide.

Dear Goddess, My new iPhone allows me to drive down the road and dictate a prayer for the day. After working all night long, taking care of patients in preterm labor, I feel completely grateful to be alive, healthy and well in this moment.

I will be working two 12 hour nights, one 13 hour night and one 16 hour night this coming weekend. But for some reason, this does not bother me at all. I used to get  macho about working long hours. Now, I cannot be bothered by it. After 28 years of full time work, it's become more routine than ever before, and so, I choose to do what I must do.

But most of the time I'd rather be home with  Ulysses.  Most of the time I enjoy doing whatever it is that I'm doing and having fun while doing it. As for the extremely long hours working over the weekend, it really doesn't matter where I am or what I'm doing because wherever I am is where I am, anyway. Time and place is largely insignificant.

It's an inner job.

The trick is to allow the reality of life be exactly as it is. I don't have to be anywhere necessarily to have that happen except in this very present moment. Breathe.

So today's prayer prescription is: Don't fight it. Go with the flow. Enjoy everything. Everyone has a choice. You might as well make your choices work for you.

Dear God/ess, I am thankful to be back to swimming, again. Today will be my fourth day this week swimming 1/2 mile a day.  Mostly what it does is build stamina, an aura of good cheer and the ability to laugh off the crazy inequities in this world. Plus as I embark on 3 12 hour nights followed by a 16, the exercise mobilizes me to sleep well in between the times of stressful hospital crisis.

Yet what is crisis but the opportunity to rise again and conquer?

Rise again and nonviolently conquer (your inner fears, demons and terrors) with the power that is yours today! This is our Prayer Prescription.

Dear God/ess, This day was eventful because I got my Book Launch web Site up, and it is up and running, except that it needs a few more things, small details at this point! I worked with D'vorah Lansky, who is a Web and Graphic Designer. I will certainly need to enlist the aid of Joan Adams to get me on the right track with key words.

So my Prayer Prescription today was to think about the meaning of those words, Prayer Prescriptions: Spiritual Remedies For Long Lasting Health.

We all want to be healthy, but do we really know what that means? For instance, peace of mind is healthy. Feelings of serenity and inner calm is healthy.

Eating organic and natural foods will certainly contribute to your health. So will drinking pure water, of which the world is in short supply. An exercise program will get those endorphins going.

But without peace of mind, good health is impossible. But we need all of the things just mentioned for overall good health.

What is the missing ingredient? Prayer, prayers, praying.

Dear God/ess, Today is the 2 year anniversary of the Prayer Blog. This is the day that the 365 day Prayer Blogging Challenge began.

It is frankly amazing that this journey still continues.

I remember thinking that prayers are a universal language,  not to be co-opted by any religion. Yet Christianity would have you believe that prayers are strictly in the domain of a belief in accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior.

I never knew what that meant, and still don't.  What I do know is that the Gospel of Jesus was Love. Prayer is Love. And that falls into every spiritual philosophy on the planet.

Dear God/ess, The book, "My Song: A Memoir" by Harry Belafonte, is the best celebrity book ever published. I make that proclamation with  great seriousness.

If anyone wants to know what it was like to be on the inside of the Civil Rights Movement in America that arose in response to  Apartheid right here in this country, you must read this book. Harry Belafonte refused to cow tow to Jim Crow laws and sought to live life as a Free Human Being. He has a high moral compass. He sought to change the world by orchestrating some very pivotal
protest platforms with influential Hollywood Stars to put an end to racist attitudes.

Harry Belafonte is critical of US Foreign Policy as I was raised to be and still am. We live in a Democracy, and the foundation upon which this country was founded is dissent.

If you want to study the mind of a successful person, with tremendous integrity, who made money to serve the poor and disadvantaged in this world, then you must read this book.

I have the book on my iPhone's Kindle. I down loaded 90 minutes of Harry Belafonte's music, and read the book as I listen to the music.

I never want the book to end. A member of my Master Mind suggested I interview Harry on my radio show.

That would be a dream come true!!

Dear Goddess,  The economic recession/depression has created an aura of compassion in the people I meet every day. If I look closely, I will see  this compassion in the ordinary person who has lost a job, who has lost her home, and who generally  lost everything she ever had in life so far.

Hearts open at times such as these.

I recently made a pin that says, "Transcend fear with Mystical Perception."

This is our Prayer Prescription for today.

Dear God/ess, I have never gone to The Grotto Of Lourdes in the Autumn before, and yesterday was such a beautiful Autumn day. The moment we stepped inside the Grotto Grounds, beauty abounded everywhere. Beautiful reds, oranges and yellows.

Every time we go back, the spot looks different. The pool around the majestic Mother Mary near the site of the Holy Water, was dark and seemingly endless. (below).The pool during the summer is green and the bottom is perfectly visible. (above). The stand upon which the Mother stands has also been beautified with the artistry of masonry work.

Walking down the pathway towards the chapel reminded us of entering a womb of the Mother.

Walking out again reminded us of going towards the light, as in the birthing experience.

Do you think this is what Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton had in mind every day she walked the rugged grounds, in a meditative state, communing with the very heart of Christ Consciousness in 1809?

Dear God/ess, My friend Sheila, Astrology's Astrologer, and I went to the Grotto of Lourdes in Emmitsburg, Maryland, today.

Ulysses came with us and as you can see in the  picture, he was quite popular among the young people there.

Our Lady Gutalupe in the picture is the site of several major miracles in the recovery of Ulysses' Cancer over this past winter. So to suddenly be visited by this group of energetic, athletic and happy  adoring fans, who demanded to have their picture taken with Ulysses,  felt like an omen of continued good health for this wonderful dog.

So I want to recognize this happy moment, and pause a moment to appreciate it.

Dear God/ess,  I now have another title for my book. I think this one makes perfect sense: Prayer Prescriptions: Spiritual Remedies For Long Lasting Health.

I want to, once again, make the point that the  prescriptions we get from the Doctor create a condition where the cure is worse than the illness.

Yet we live at a time where many Americans are hopelessly addicted to prescription drugs. Heroin, cocaine, crack are still a problem, but if I would hazard a guess, prescription medications have created an addiction crisis. And these drugs are legal.

Not that heroin or cocaine should be illegal. Legal or illegal, these sorts of prescriptions are a type of suicide. They create a population of walking zombies.

Prayer Prescriptions are a healing balm that can help uplift the vibrations of those who read them.
