In Part 1 we heard how Neabei first decided to incorporate the Love Foundation Liberia, what challenges they faced and the response from the community. Let’s hear in Neabei’s own words about his vision for the future, immediate plans, long term plans and what he’s most proud of in this endeavor:

THE VISION FOR THE FUTURE WITH TLF-LIBERIA

The overall vision of TLF-Liberia is to assist people to build a practical foundation and understanding of unconditional love within individuals and the Liberian society as a whole.

It is an organization focusing on training the minds to change the attitudes of negative perceptions by individuals thus providing a most desirable alternative solution to economic problem of absolute poverty, political instability, social and religious differences which continue to impede/retard the progress of unity, lasting peace and development in Liberia. It includes unconditional love education through seminars and workshops, the media(radio, television, print, ICTs) billboards, flyers, posters, etc. at community levels in various vernaculars of Liberia. Different forms of educational programs cover day-care centers, primary and secondary levels, the universities and colleges, communities and with the social and religious institutions collectively. To stimulate social harmony, programs such as cultural dances, sports, film productions, creative writings, music, traditional arts, poetry, arts and crafts, shall be highlighted among others. By the messages of love sent forth through various means, inter-personal, tribal and religious controversies shall not easily escalate into chaotic situations, but shall be managed easier from the concept  of unconditional love which transcends human limitations.

Considering the preponderance of sports in promoting social harmony, police stations in areas where our presence shall be felt will no longer be crowded as before with cases involving issues of fighting and many forms of inter-personal misunderstanding. By your involvement in other ways, Liberians will be exposed to the bedrock foundation of unity, lasting peace and development haven been assisted to rise above their limitation and begin to share love unconditionally.

The doctrine fostering the respect for human rights/dignity in Liberia will be given an underpinning gravity as individuals begin to conceptualize unconditional love as a basis for every thought, feeling and action, is a prudent means through which any developing country can attain progress.

In Liberia, most people would prefer to associate with others who can offer what they desire in terms of economic potential or people would come down to earth purposely to achieve political goals, otherwise, people choose to associate on tribal  and religious sentiments. TLF-Liberia is intended to enhance the promotion of unity and lasting peace by inspiring and motivating people to love unconditionally through the exploration of various activities that foster love.

THE IMMEDIATE PLANS FOR THE LOVE FOUNDATION-LIBERIA

The Love Foundation-Liberia recognizing love as the perfect bound of unity and hope, transcends the limitation of religious, gender, and creed, reaching out to all without precondition with the aim that through our activities:

  • The weak finds strength
  • The confused finds strength
  • The intelligent grows wiser
  • The divided becomes re-united
  • Our nation is moved forward

Our immediate plans is to raise friendly supports to give us some credence and sense of purpose enabling us to organize ourselves through short-term training workshops and to rent a little place where we can be located. We strive to design multiple motivational programs that inspire unconditional love  education through the arts that teach morals. It is our desire to as well liaise with humanitarian organizations and individuals locally and internationally for support in cash and kind to carry out charitable and research projects in Monrovia and its environs. All of our activities for now will be focused in Monrovia as a starting point.

OUR LONG TERM PLANS

By the year 2012, TLF-Liberia whishes to begin decentralizing all aspects of here activities thereby having her influence felt in all of the fifteen counties of Liberia.

As a reliable means of fiscal support, TLF-Liberia whishes to undertake agricultural projects in any of the counties which is a prudent means of keeping the organization potent in terms of financial self reliance.

By 2015, TLF-Liberia wishes to begin with programs/projects envisioning the promotion of unconditional love which will involve the active participations of citizens especially youth of neighboring countries bordering Liberia and the sub-region of West Africa.

WHAT I AM MOST PROUD OF IN THIS ENTITY I AM CREATING

To be proud is to have positive accomplishment(s). There are nothing more successful and cheerful than dwelling together in unity as TLF-Liberia is becoming daily. In as much as there is nothing that The Love Foundation-Liberia has to offer it members in terms of allowances, everyone is always happy to contribute towards every aspect  of our undertaking. Some would go to an extend of crediting money from people only to keep TLF-Liberia alive.

I also feel proud that even the kids are willing and happy to be with us whenever we need them.

Except for the hard costs of living in Liberia where about 80% pf the total population is living on less than $1.00 per day, all is well with us and continue to be better.

I am greatly proud of Loveolution that is making remarkable impact on TLF-Liberia through the website, also the co-founders of Loveolution: Aaron and Justin, who are key motivational force behind all that we are doing and continue to achieve in Liberia.

I am very inspired by Neabei and his country men and womens’ efforts.  It is truly amazing to see such Love coming from a place which historically has dealt with so many chaotic challenges.  We are proud to support Neabei’s Global Vision of Love In Liberia!

Thanks for reading!

Much Love,

~Aaron

Neabei Toah, one of the co-founders of The Love Foundation-Liberia

I met Neabei Toah through my connection with The Love Foundation as the Volunteer Coordinator for North Carolina.  Neabei has been a diligent Love Warrior in bringing Unconditional Love to Liberia and beyond.

His genuine interest in promoting unconditional love is astounding and powerful.  He recently established The Love Foundation-Liberia.  In his own words, I asked Neabei to share more of his experience with founding the non-profit:

HOW I FIRST MADE THE DECISION TO INCORPORATE A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION

The Love Foundation-Liberia, TLF-L is comprised of a group of young volunteers established on a non-governmental, non-partisan humanitarian basis. The Love Foundation-Liberia’s existence is by the conviction of some Liberian youth and the young-at-hearts that the greatest of all unifying forces ever to be noted amidst tribal, religious, economic, political and other form of differences is that of unconditional love and as such, TLF-Liberia encourages the collaboration of other humanitarian local and international organizations in addressing the needs of post-war Liberia.

Liberia is the oldest republic in Africa established by free slaves from North America. There are fifteen sub-divisions and sixteen tribes which make up this nation. The nation has been one of the most peaceful countries in Africa prior to the 1990s where foreigners sought refuge for many years. However, there were still other forms of tribal differences. The problem of co-existence among the tribes of which the Gios, Krahns, Manos, and Mandingos were at the lead reached its apex in December, 1989 with a devastating tribal war which lasted for fourteen 14 years taking away the lives of more than tow hundred and fifty (250,000) people. This civil war seized in 2003 upon the arrival of the United Nations peacekeepers which comprised of about 17,000 personnel-the largest UN peacekeeping mission ever known. The mission of the United Nations peacekeepers to Liberia which expired in 2007 has been re-extended for security reasons. My major concern and worry is “should the United nations continue as peace for Liberia.

In practical reality, Liberia can only be peaceful if we foster unconditional love. The tribal misunderstanding which has been passed down from one generation to another is still a problem and a burden for and among us. Unfortunately, this problem is worsening by religious differences. While the generational tribal discrimination remains a burden, the Christians and the Islamic worshippers (Muslims) are competing for dominance over Liberia. In October, 2005, there was a spotlight or foreshadowing on anticipated religious crisis in Liberia. This disturbance took away the lives of a few people and damaged a lot of properties including the burning down of churches and mosques in and around Monrovia. Against these shortcomings, we as youth of The Love Foundation-Liberia are working with the goal to unify Liberians through unconditional love.

Truly, we live in a country or even on a planet that provides the most challenging opportunities to become and express love in its unconditional form. Unconditional love as we understand, is not a goal but a process and is no longer to be limited as unattainable but the practical and inherent way to approach and live life. If people are motivated and inspired to transcend beyond their limitations and begin to love unconditionally, we can have hope for a brighter future. Love is an expansion of certain qualities we can truly feel physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

Liberia today is inhabited by a population of about 3.5 million. 80% of the total population is living below the poverty line. Adult illiteracy rate is 44.5%. Liberia, a post-war country is in dire need for unconditional love education across the country for tribal, inter-personal, religious, economic and other reasons. However, this is a country where people live on far less than a dollar per day. Wherever we have talked about unconditional love, we received applauds for the reality in the vision but the greatest expectation from us to accompany the sweet and meaningful words is aid.

On a numerous occasion, we have been faced with questions like what are you guys going to do to physically or practically demonstrated love given the kind of conditions of extreme poverty you see us in?  These questions have caused me a lot of guilt and discomfort. For instance, many children have to stay hungry for many hours a day awaiting Mama to return from the market at about  6:00pm after selling some petit goods of insignificant profit of which the profit could buy about two cups of rice and a little fish for a one square meal. Sometimes by the time the food is finished cooking, the younger kids have all fallen asleep.

With love having more underpinnings of hope, we desire not to forget about charitable projects as we move on unifying, inspiring and motivating people to love unconditionally.

We have strived to become legally established so as to find it easier to operate without obstructions by the government. Also, we would find it easier to solicit friendly supports to enable us undertake programs/projects to meet the needs of the vulnerable youth, women and children of Liberia where unconditional love can fit and is truly needed.

WHAT CHALLENGES WERE FACED IN THE PROCESS OF INCORPORATION

There is nothing that can make me stronger rather than challenges.

Truly, during the process of incorporating The Love Foundation-Liberia, we started with nothing in terms of financial potential. We first decided to write prominent individuals to support our effort, all we received were promises but non came true. We reached a point where we all felt frustrated about the idea of continuous promises that cannot be fulfilled. Finally, we resolved to contribute our meager financial resources which were reported to our financial secretary every Sunday. The weekly amount was $ 10.00 Liberian dollars equivalent to 0.14 US cent. We needed $ 250.00USD as Liberia has a duo currencies system meaning that the United States dollars is a legal tender in our economy.

We have fifteen prominent members. A break down of how we were able to raise the amount is  14 X 15persons X 48 Sundays X 2 years which amounted to $ 201.00USD .

I had to pay the balance because I am the head of the organization.

When the document went into the office of the minister of foreign affairs it was about her time to travel outside of the country. It spent weeks on her desk but was finally endorsed and received on June 8, 2010 at about 12:00noon.

Perseverance X diligence + You = Success For Us

THE RESPONSE OF MY COMMUNITY

There is no one person who has every criticized our effort. Everyone cheers us so much for the vision we have and continue to pray for successfulness in endeavors. Except for their expectation from us in relation to practical demonstration of unconditional love in terms of charitable projects which will surely come in the future as per our plan, students of high schools and universities and religious institutions continue to encourage our visits at their various institutions with the message of loving unconditionally. All of these are what we stand for but the legal footing was needed to have primarily been established.

Everyone accepts the fact that indeed, love is needed most in Liberia. From the economy, inequitable distribution of national income especially wherein there is no middle class, it is either one is poor or very rich. The income disparity is so wide to the extreme that a greater portion of the nation’s population is just unable to commend the resources needed to meet their daily needs.

Socially, people affiliate with the people of their own ethnicity, political background and religious creeds. It can be vivid that if a pastor, bishop or imam is of a certain tribe, majority of his congregation will be of his tribe.

If a principal or president of an educational institution is of a Liberian ethnicity, the same will also be observed.

By the introduction of unconditional love amidst these forms of limitations, we have always and continue to receive appreciations for our endeavor.

In part 2 we’ll examine the vision of the future of The Love Foundation Liberia, immediate plans, long term plans and closing thoughts on the experience thus far.  Thanks for reading!

I’m excited to be launching our Love Health series which will encompass anything and everything that benefits our health mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

To kick things off I would like to share a friend of mine who helps me keep my hair follicles and Cougar Hunting skills healthy.

Hair, Cougars and Life Discussion

Meet Leslie Archambault-Shaw (the lady that cuts my hair) or as we like to say, “The Ballroom Dancing Hairlady”.  This isn’t just any Ballroom Dancing Hairlady, this is one who works with a special non-toxic hair coloring line called EcoColors.

So, Leslie is not just shoulder to cry on and/or cougar consultant but is also a very conscious professional hairdresser who uses Eco-friendly products.  I had promised her that I would help spread the word about her.

Leslie spent over a decade in the financial world after deciding she was tired of that kind of work, lifestyle and culture.  Now she lives in Raleigh with her son Benjamin (who just scored in the top 3% on his EOG test!) and provides professional hair care service.  She dances at Carolina Ballroom of Cary each week and was one of the founding members of the Wild & Wacky Wonderful Women Of The World group in Raleigh.

EcoColors Hair Care

The Ballroom Dancing Hairlady In Action!

Leslie is professional, fun and open so, you should definitely call her if you are in the Triangle area or just have questions about EcoColor hair care.

There is a great conspiracy afoot which goes deep into the core of our consciousness. We are to blame in part for a fictitious monetary system which we are currently entangled in.

It is our hope that you will understand the gravity of the situation and utilize this opportunity to reclaim your natural irrevocable power that has been hidden from you. Hidden until you were ready to reclaim it. Is that time now?

What’s the difference between real money and fiat money?

“Fiat Money is money in name only. It’s money because a sovereign government says it’s money. It has no intrinsic metallic or redemption value. Its nominal value is what the government engraves on its face. Its real value is what it will buy in the marketplace. In the international marketplace, its real value is what it is worth in exchange for another country’s currency.” (Source: Crash Proof by Peter Schiff)

Real money would actually have something of value backing it like gold or silver.

In medieval times, goldsmiths acted as the hub for currency. Merchants and other people would receive paper receipts which represented the gold they owned. Over time there was a distinction created between receipts for storage and money substitutes which were “bank notes” or promises to pay.

And this is where the game began.

These bank notes or promises to pay: “had intrinsic value only to the extent the goldsmith, now a banker and lending out the gold deposits not required to meet expected daily redemptions, had kept “gold reserves” on hand to meet the redemptions that were expected. A banker playing it too close ran the risk of arousing suspicion and causing “run on the bank.” That could ruin his business.” (Source: Crash Proof by Peter Schiff)

Currently there is no lawful money in circulation. The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 also called the Owen-Glass Act established a private politically independent Federal Reserve banking system designed to regulate the banking system, manage the money supply through buying and selling government securities and ultimately acting as the hub for transferring funds throughout the banking system. Thus began the degradation of the dollar.

The United States measures its wealth by how credit worthy it is not how much true value it holds.

Fractional Reserve banking is our current system that governs the creation of currency. When you take out a loan, your signature–which ultimately is nested inside a “promise” to pay–is what creates the money.

Banks do NOT loan money out of their own assets. I have documentation from a professional accountant who has questioned banks and bank auditors who have admitted that banks do not put loans as a liability on their books according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

This means that the bank has not taken any risk through your loan because they haven’t lent out their own assets. Instead they have created money out of thin air through your signature and promise to pay and have put the liability on you.

What I’m telling you is that banks engaging in fraud is a part of standard operating procedure and has been for some time.

In Modern Money Mechanics a publication put out by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago they explain:

“Intrinsically, a dollar bill is just a piece of paper, deposits merely book entries. Coins do have some intrinsic value as metal, but generally far less than their face value. What, then, makes these instruments – checks, paper money, and coins – acceptable at face value in payment of all debts and for other monetary uses? Mainly, it is the confidence people have that they will be able to exchange such money for other financial assets and for real goods and services whenever they choose to do so. Money, like anything else, derives its value from its scarcity in relation to its usefulness.”

Curious as to how money is created?

“Changes in the quantity of money may originate with actions of the Federal Reserve System (the central bank), depository institutions (principally commercial banks), or the public. The major control, however, rests with the central bank. The actual process of money creation takes place primarily in banks. As noted earlier, checkable liabilities of banks are money. These liabilities are customers’ accounts. They increase when customers deposit currency and checks and when the proceeds of loans made by the banks are credited to borrowers’ accounts.”

This is exactly what I was just describing. This quote says it all “checkable liabilities of banks are money. These liabilities are customers’ accounts.” If you look into accounting you’ll see what an oxymoron “liabilities of banks are money” is.

Banks are only required to keep a 10% reserve requirement and can lend out 90% in credit to the public. However, this is a joke when you realize that any amount of money which goes through a bank it expands the reserves of multiple banks simultaneously. Think about monopoly money as you read more about our Fractional Reserve banking system:

“Carried through to theoretical limits, the initial $10,000 of reserves distributed within the banking system gives rise to an expansion of $90,000 in bank credit (loans and investments) and supports a total of $100,000 in new deposits under a 10 percent reserve requirement. The deposit expansion factor for a given amount of new reserves is thus the reciprocal of the required reserve percentage (1/.10 = 10). Loan expansion will be less by the amount of the initial injection. The multiple expansion is possible because the banks as a group are like one large bank in which checks drawn against borrowers’ deposits result in credits to accounts of other depositors, with no net change in the total reserves.”

Remember that power we talked about reclaiming. The above is one of many reasons why we must reclaim our power. Will you join us?

I recently had the pleasure of meeting a bright young man named D.J. Svoboda and his mother, Cyndi.  The presence of this brilliant young man is utterly electrifying in person.  His Super Mom, Cyndi, by his side is amazing as well.  As you get to know them you’ll understand why.

Who Are You?

My name is D.J. Svoboda. I was diagnosed with Autism at the age of three. During my school age years I went through some very difficult times. I was often picked on and made fun of.

It was from these experiences that The Imagifriends were born. The Imagifriends live in a place called Imagiville. In this imaginary place no one is ever picked on or mistreated in any way. Every-one is loved and accepted for who and what they are.

Each Imagifriend that I draw is different. They come in many sizes, colors, and designs. None of them are ever mean or cruel. They each have their own special job and purpose in Imagiville. I want to use The Imagifriends to help others with Autism know that they are special “Just the Way They Are.”

Being Autistic has presented me with many challenges in my life. From those challenges I have learned to never give up. Even those with Autism can make a difference in this world. I love to travel to different places and events  to speak, share my art, and spread my message of acceptance and respect for those with Autism and other disabilities.

I want to thank the Lord for giving me the talent to draw.

Tell us about your life, how have you gotten to where you are?

I am Autistic and mentally handicapped. I was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 3. Growing up with Autism has been very challenging and sometimes very hard. There were times when I was made fun of and teased and called Names. It was very hurtful, but that is all in the past now. I really enjoy being an Artist and public Speaker. I also love toy collecting as a 2nd Hobby. I enjoy cooking and baking as a 3rd hobby. I also enjoy Mini Golf and Bowling and spending time with my Friends and Family. My Mom and I started a new Business and Mission and Ministry named after The Imagifriends to help all those with Autism and Disabilities across the World and Country and Nations. We go to different Conferences and expos and we have started going to Schools to speak. I hope to speak at Colleges and do Murals for different Places real soon. I also greet at my Church and I do art for 4 and 5 Year olds at my Church. I am greatly determined to give great Hope, Confidence, Joy, Self Esteem and Encouragement to all those with Autism and Disabilities Worldwide and nationwide.

How did you come up with the Imagifriends?

I came up with The name Imagifriends one day when I was having a little meeting with a very good Friend that I have known for a long time. It was at a Bojangles when I had my meeting with my Friend and her Daughter who is also a very good Friend of mine. They have told me that the Characters I create are very wonderful, but they have decided that it was time for me to give them a name, I agreed.  I thought for a moment and then decided that because The Imagifriends came from the Imagination, why not call them The Imagifriends? They thought that was a great name for them. The Imagifriends were officially born October 19,2001.

What is your mission and Ministry?

Our big Mission is to help all those with Autism and Disabilities Worldwide and nationwide know how very special and wonderful they really are and to help them know that they too can fulfill their dreams and Goals just like everyone else can. To also give them great Confidence and encouragement and great Joy and Great Hope and Self Esteem, to also help them to know that they too have a great place in this World. The other biggest part of the Mission and Ministry is to spread Awareness for those with Autism and Disabilities and to help Parents and Single Parents with Children with Autism and Disabilities. Donations to my Church Hope Community Church and to various Autism Organizations.

What do you do and how do you do it?

I do Art for all those with Autism and Disabilities and everyone across the world and country and nations. I go to different places for public Speaking to share our Mission and Ministry and what The Imagifriends are all about. To create The Imagifriends I first think of an Idea, I look for ideas all around me, even in different Children’s Books and Children’s Shows and Children’s Movies which give me different Ideas and great Inspirations. I start by drawing the eyes and then I let the Imagination take over. I draw the head of the Imagifriend, then I design the Body. I add the Color which is the next part, I try to add everyone’s favorite Colors as possible. Then I think very hard for a name for each Imagifriend and then I write a Story about them. I also work on Imaginames which are the letters of your name turned into Imagifriends. I draw the letters first and then i draw them into Imagifriends. I use Micron pens size 5 and 8 for the outlining part. Then I use Crayola Super tip markers for the Colors. When I speak at different places I explain how The Imagifriends were born, I explain what the Imagifriends are all about, and I explain our Mission.

What are your dreams and goals?

My Dreams are to see The Imagifriends become very well known across the World and Country and nations. To see the Imagifriends become many different things like Toys and Clothes and all different kinds of things for children and Adults with Autism and Disabilities and everyone. To see The Imagifriends become as successful as many other great things that children and their Families like and love. To see The Imagifriends touch billions and billions of lives across the world and country and nation. Most of all to have our very own Autism Foundation named after The Imagifriends for all those with Autism and Disabilities worldwide and nationwide.

Have a great blessed day everyday!

D.J. Svoboda

Philosophy can be the most simple, potent and unbiased thinking  and the most perverted, complex, biased and controlling thinking imaginable.

Two Words That Divide Harmony And Discord

  1. interpretation (n.) (1) the act of interpreting; elucidation; explication, (2) an explanation of the meaning of another’s artistic or creative work, (3) a conception of another’s behavior, and (4) oral translation.
  2. understanding (n.) (1) mental process of a person who comprehends; comprehension; personal interpretation, (2) intellectual faculties; intelligence; mind, (3) superior power of discernment; enlightened intelligence, (4) knowledge of or familiarity with a particular thing; skill in dealing with or handling something, and (5) a state of cooperative or mutually tolerant relations between people.  (Dictionary.com)

Think about how we learn, process and understand information, determine what is “good vs. bad” in life and interact with others socially. Is that not determined by how we interpret and understand what is going on around us?

When someone voices a strong opinion we either like it or dislike. Maybe we have no response but secretly, deep inside we have formed an opinion about their opinion.  That opinion is formed by our philosophy on life.

Another key to this puzzle is emotional attachment to ideas, philosophies, beliefs and even emotions. This is what causes collective movements of people like the Epicureans devoted to the philosophy of  the Roman philosopher Epicurus or Christians devoted to Jesus Christ.  While the leaders were passionate, devoted and committed to these ideals I highly doubt everyone was as devoted but rather went along with the crowd to belong and feel accepted.

Socrates was a great proponent of questioning the status quo especially if one was going against the majority. He promoted asking lots questions refusing to back down from accepting the majority viewpoint.  This kind of courageous thinking keeps us spiritually, psychologically and intellectually fit.

Unfortunately we’ve gotten away from this commanding reality in meaningful ways. One problem is that people take information in too deeply and grow emotional and psychological attachments cause damage to the person attached if uprooted too violently.  Resentment, anger and unprocessed emotional junk plague  those who can’t get past these problems-ultimately hindering spiritual progression in life.

We have become apathetic, jaded and timid when it comes to really discussing what we TRULY think, believe and desire. This is why I am prescribing some deep philosophical thought for myself and the masses.

To Be Continued…

The Philosophize Or Perish Series was designed to promote reason, inquiry, and spiritual progress through communicating our personal Love of wisdom with others in courageous, open, receptive and enjoyable ways.
