In 2008 the award was given to Stephanie Workman of Knoxville, TN who exemplifies Julie’s spirited passion for contribution in the creation and maintenance of the BFLSpirit website.  She has unified and inspired countless people all over the world to come together as they vie for their best body and life  through the Body-for-Life program.  Working tirelessly  to reach out personally to friends and strangers alike, Stephanie often funds this mission personally–along with her wonderful husband Don.

In 2009 the Julie Whitt Award was given to author Denise Taylor of Sellersburg, Indiana. Denise inspired her local and national community as she shared the grace and character with which she and her daughter Jonnae traveled the final nine months of Jonnae’s physical life.  In her book Heavenly Birth Denise shares the private journey of her family which inspires us to embrace the “I get to” mantra.  She travels the country speaking to crowds of all sizes as an inspirational speaker– but will also share the message one-on-one in an airport at the grocery store or in a parking lot with a stranger.

Let’s see who will be joining theses dynamic women in 2010!
