Mission: Six-pack Abs
An experiment to find out if getting those sexy six-pack abs like you always see on guys in commercials will improve my quality of lifeMission: Six-pack Abs – Day 32 – Refocusing My Efforts
After about a month of doing this mission, I’ve decided it would be a good idea to refocus. For the first month, I was mainly focused on what I was eating.
Now I feel it’s important that I focus on why I am eating. Most days I eat healthy food for breakfast, lunch and snacks…but more and more I’m finding myself overeating and/or eating unhealthy foods later in the day. This is a result of what is called “emotional eating.”
Just about everybody does it, but most people don’t realize that they do it.
I had mentioned about a week ago that I took an online course in 2006 called Mastering Food (now called Shrink Yourself) when I lost about 30 pounds. Well, luckily I’ve just been able to find all of my notes from that course. I’ve been going through them this morning and I think it’ll be really helpful for me to study them over the next few weeks.
I want to share one of the Secret Formulas for dealing with emotional eating:
“I will not eat just because I don’t feel great! I need to find a different way of dealing with feeling unhappy/stressed/worried today that doesn’t involve food.”
I plan to make that my intention for today and maybe I’ll share some more of the Secret Formulas over the next week, since I think they’re so important.
