My first thought was ‘fear’ but when I looked more closely I agree with Dennis Lockhart, that EGO is the biggest barrier, from which fear is born.

One of the biggest barriers to love is our inability to love ourselves. Once we truly learn to love and accept ourselves unconditionally, then we can extend that love out to others. But until we truly feel that love for ourselves, we have a tendency to look outside ourselves for things and people that will make us feel better and more complete. Unfortunately, nothing ever works because the love always has to come from within first. But once we learn to accept ourselves, love becomes an outward expression of what we’re already feeling inside… and it becomes a joyful process and experience in life.

Love is connection, connection to the divine, to the self, connection to others and connection to the Ego. When everything is connected you feel the love flow. The more you foster it the more love grows. As you realize this connection the love stays and then your very happy and it never goes away. You’re Love manifested. Truth

Love is patient and kind and does not keep a record of your wrongs, never give up on you and never fails. But most of all I love this part when someone once told me this and it is true….love is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breaths away. You know you are truly in love when that person takes your breath away!! It’s beautiful…..
