(later) 3 very small peanut butter cookies
Dinner: (ate at Evos)
Mediterranean Summer Salad
(dessert) a mini ice cream sandwich
Exercise:
45-minute weight workout, ab clenches every 15 minutes at my desk
Notes:
After only 2 days of doing ab clenches at my desk, I’ve noticed a big difference. I feel really solid through my core. I also did as Mark suggests and instead of doing a lot of crunches during my workout, I just made sure to tighten my core muscles during every weight exercise I did. When I did that, I could really feel that my back/spine was being supported by my core muscles.
A lot of times, when I finish a weight workout, my back will be hurting me…but I think I’ve realized that it was because I wasn’t supporting it by tightening my core muscles. Yesterday I actually noticed how good my back felt after my workout, which was definitely an unexpected benefit!
