What’s In a Name?
February 18th, 2010
Sat nam everyone,
I just used a beautiful greeting that honors the divine in you. Yes, as a creation of God you are divine. Without God's expectation that you be perfect. Pretty cool, huh?
I'm writing today because I wanted to share another beautiful part of my amazing journey.
Having begun a different religious path than the one I was born into, I have been on a spiritual quest since the mid-1990's. As the next step I had thought of adding a part of my spiritual name in order to merge some of the varied and unique parts of who I am. This does not change where I come from, nor in my eyes does it diminish my religion of origin. I am still quite proud of, and grateful for, my beginnings.
Who knows, one day in the near future this might be a more practical option. I can still keep my spiritual practice, which grounds and supports me daily.
Saying I'm grateful, especially considering where I've come from mentally, physically and emotionally, doesn't seem sufficient. Oh well, it'll have to do.
Till next time...take good care of yourself.
