Visions of Love with Judith Sherven and Jim Sniechowski, relationship experts and psychology team

  1. What does the word Love mean to you?
  2. To us, LOVE means the deep heart-space of positive emotional connection, respect, and value. Love is the intersection between self-care and self-aware joining and inter-twining with the same in another.

  3. Have you ever felt like love was missing from your life? (How do you handle these periods of time?)
  4. Yes for both of us. We both found that enriching our lives with meaningful friendships, work-related self-development, and personally fulfilling fun activities enhanced our lives while preparing us for the serious love relationship to come — in our case it was meeting each other in March 1987 and marrying April 9, 1988.

  5. What is the biggest way you see that love (or the lack thereof) has impacted our world today?
  6. The lack of love perpetuates corrupt and destructive governments, corporations, and banking industries around the globe as well as creating parents who produce most of the emotionally disturbed criminals in our society and pass down the unloving patterns to their children that destroy marriage after marriage and wreck the lives of so many children raised without sincere love.

At the same time, there Is an expansively growing trend in the evolution of the human spirit that supports the development of more love on the planet — and the awareness that love must be learned and that those lessons are essential and necessary to save the world we inhabit.

  7. What is the last extraordinary book you read and what impact did it have on you?
  8. Gregg Braden, The Divine Matrix
We both loved this book because it is emotionally compelling as Gregg describes the energetic connection we all share — whether we share love — or not.

  9. From your perspective, what is the most practical way to bringing more love into the world?
  10. To require couples to receive extensive training in marriage preparation, conflict resolution, parenting, financial planning, career planning and personal health BEFORE they can apply for a marriage license.  It would also be quite practical and healthy to the bottom line of business if businesses provided similar programs on an ongoing basis for their employees as their contribution to the betterment of their employees lives and the society we all share.

  11. Is there a connection between love and inspiration? Who in your lifetime has inspired you the most?
  12. We would have to say no – that we’ve not experienced a connection between love and inspiration in relation to people outside of our marriage. But between the two of us, we’ve been enormously inspired through the love we feel for and experience with each other — love that is sometimes deeply penetrating and demanding — and all good as it moves each of us forward in our personal and professional growth.

  13. How do you incorporate love into your business or professional life?
  14. We are always our own “love-laboratory” — letting love lead us, feeling love demanding that we find more courage to expand and get larger in the world and at the same time arresting the emotional hold-backs that primitive “love” has required, and always always we join together to make sure that we are each other’s dearest, most loyal friend — no matter what we may be doing.

Your Vision: What intrigues you the most about where the world is headed today?

We are indeed involved in an Evolutionary Era – the likes of which has never existed before and may never again. With the exponential advancements in Internet technology and ever deeper and microscopic scientific understanding of who and what we are as humans, it is more and more evident that our individual human consciousness is clearly lagging behind. And more and more people are struggling to find ways to bridge that gap so that the human spirit can catch up with the larger phenomenon that we call “being alive.”
