Aaron’s Love Letter To Southwest Airlines
I decided I would follow up my blog entry, 10 Definitions Of Love From Southwest Airlines, with a personal letter submitted through Southwest Airlines’ website.
I’ll let you know when I get a response.

Dear Everyone At Southwest Airlines,
I just wanted to express my admiration and appreciation for Southwest Airlines‘ existence.
I co-founded a website called the LOVEolution which is designed to help people experience the feeling of Love more often and ultimately learn how to apply the practical power of Love in their everyday lives.
Southwest Airlines, your brand and organization is a shining example of Love manifested through its presence, executives, employees and all affiliated parties.
All my personal experiences flying with Southwest Airlines have been very congruent with the deep wisdom written about in the book.
I am so happy you exist and I smile everytime I see a Southwest Airlines plane flying through the sky as I drive. (I live in Raleigh-Durham so that happens a lot = )
Please show this to as many Southwest people as possible so they know how great of a job they’re doing.
I wrote a blog entry about you based on the book NUTS! Southewest Airlines’ Crazy Recipe for Business and Personal Success: http://www.love-olution.com/blog/2009/11/10-definitions-of-love-from-southwest-airlines/
Please accept my humble compliments to all the Southwest Airlines‘ chefs that make it taste so good!
With much Love and admiration,

The ego will anticipate the effect of this….but how authentic you’re heart was probably determines how positive it will be received.

Mark,
Of course the ego will anticipate the effects of this. My heart came from a place of I would like to see Southwest get credit for the Love in and of their company. I’m all for allowing the ego to be fed provided its aligned with my heart. The ego is the part of us that gets excited. Yes, we sometimes might be “disappointed” from the expectation but I’d rather be disappointed than not get excited at all.
This is the trap I believe comes from the “stay unattached” concept promoted by so many GURUS. I agree with ultimately being unattached to things but dag nab it I like taking risks and feeling blissful from allowing my ego to express itself.
What are your thoughts on the role of the ego?
